Biography (English): Heavily influenced by his extensive background in fabrication, blacksmithing and foundry; Moores’ work is preoccupied by the cultural significance and hierarchical systems of value that exist within the objects that surround us. To this end, Moores’ re-proposes and re-fabricates everyday objects, exploring social and cultural economies. Zeke Moores holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and graduated from the MFA program at the University of Windsor, Ontario in 2005. Currently, Moores is showing nationally and internationally, while teaching at the University of Windsor, in Windsor Ontario, and Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Biography (French): Fortement influencé par sa vaste expérience en fabrication, forge et fonderie ; Le travail de Moores est préoccupé par la signification culturelle et les systèmes hiérarchiques de valeurs qui existent au sein des objets qui nous entourent. À cette fin, Moores propose et refabrique des objets du quotidien, explorant les économies sociales et culturelles. Zeke Moores est titulaire d'un baccalauréat en beaux-arts du Nova Scotia College of Art and Design et a obtenu son diplôme de maîtrise en beaux-arts de l'Université de Windsor, en Ontario, en 2005. Biography (English): Alexis Templeton is a Newfoundland potter celebrated for her functional ceramic work finished in beautiful and distinctive glazes. Inspired by the natural heritage of her home province, Alexis has developed several signature glaze styles and designs during a career of more than two decades. She draws on both her artist’s eye and her technical knowledge in her continuing exploration of how colour and form, chemistry and serendipity, can yield gorgeous ceramic pieces suitable for your table or your walls.
