  • Applicants must be Canadian artists or have a significant connection to the Canadian art scene.
  • Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.

Application Process

  • Artists must submit a completed application form available on the CCCA website.
  • Required materials include a sample work (image) and a biography.
  • There is no fee to apply.

Selection Criteria

  • Applications will be reviewed based on artistic merit, relevance to contemporary or historical Canadian art, and completeness of the application.
  • The CCCA reserves the right to make selections at its discretion and decisions are final.

Representation on the Database

  • Artists accepted into the CCCA Database will have a dedicated profile page showcasing their biography, artistic works, exhibitions, and other relevant information.
  • Artists are responsible for providing accurate and updated content for their profiles.
  • CCCA does not guarantee the frequency or context of the artist’s visibility on the site.

Intellectual Property

  • Artists retain copyright of all images and texts submitted. However, by applying, artists grant CCCA non-exclusive rights to use the images and texts for promotional purposes, on the website, and in related materials.
  • Artists must ensure they hold rights to all submitted materials and indemnify CCCA against any copyright infringement claims.

Data Use and Privacy

  • Personal information collected during the application will be used solely for the purpose of processing the application and managing the artist’s profile.
